ok, i bot an antenna and put the WAP on my front porch. still no luck :( i called linksys tech support. he said that win 98 is a problem when using wireless (cabled is fine). win98se is the correct OS. so, i gave my neighbor a win98se upgrade disk and told him to install it tonight. i'll work on this tomorrow night. in the mean time, my other neighbor (who has experience/hardware)wants into the network to share the cable internet :) he's done this before atr his last address. he's comming by tonight to see my setup and try to set up his equipment in his house.
