Does this make him brave or foolhearty? The better question is why he requested vietnam because he claims he was opposed to the war prior to enlistment. Being of an identical age as kerry, he may be the only yalie who requested such duty. I am not disparaging this--i just find it bizarre given the times. And then six months later--he gets out through a loophole it has been suggested. Mike
