Clearly not. Just as he deserves no blame for 9/11. He didn't tell those terrorists to do those things.

It could subside for a short period but what would that say to the terrorists? Like in Spain it would signal they've won - Not a message we want to send for the long term.

Yes. I also remember him being criticized for NOT GOING ALL THE WAY shortly after 9/11 by Democrats as well as Republicans.
