I was pretty young during the Vietnam era, but I do distinctly remember when a friend's family got word that their oldest son had died over there. As I kid I had no concept that wars had beginnings and endings, I assumed we were perpetually at war, and someday I would be a soldier, too. There will be no draft, of that you can be assured ... Bush would be impeached before it could happen.
