Do you have any trees laying in you pond like ish said. If not try to get anything in the water that they can hide behind. You can even make a point out of rock or dirt but that would require a machine.

I'm not saying that bass won't life there without cover but it sure as hell make it hard on you to find them. I would say your next step would be a fish finder if there is no structure.
