That is a nice boat!

The longest lake here in CT is Candlewood and I believe its between 22-25 miles long. My boat with two guys and all the gear does about 25mph (guess-no speed-o-meter)There is a state launch at one end of the lake but I'm not sure about the other. Then there is the CT river.I've been all the way down it on several occasions...the last time with my 18 foot Sea Ray. The boat I have now I would not take to the end of the river. That's where a lot of big marinas are with the huge yatch's. I could probably handle 5 foot wakes coming at me from one direction but they come from every where and I would be swamped in no time.

For the Ocean we just charter a 40-50 foot sports fisher. We go with six guys and they go for whatever you want. They even supply all the gear and bait. You just bring your food and booze. As far as the booze goes...they won't put up with a crazy drunk raising hell. If that happens it's back to the dock with no refund. I for one like that rule.
