To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen from a previous election:

AS: Mr. Bush, I know God, and you're no God.

I paid $6.00/gallon for gas in England 3 years ago (literally). I laugh when I hear Americans complain about gas prices. The road building/repair trust fund that is paid through gas taxes is broke in my state, because the polls don't have the balls to raise gas taxes to an appropriate level to fund the trust fund. NJ has the 2nd lowest gas taxes in the nation. There is room to raise them. There are no doubt many hidden costs to the price of a gallon of gas, refining mandates, gas taxes being two of the more obvious. The cost of military protection of the oil suppplies is becoming a major hidden cost in the price of gas, especially with the U.S. spending $200 Billion on attacking Iraq and $60 Billion more maintaining a force there. That's pretty loony no mater what your political disposition is.

AS knows god? :-) One of many who talk to god. ;-)

Jake, I have prayed about Bush's changes to the Clean Air Act. God has told me, in no uncertain terms, that he is opposed to those changes and they will increase pollution.
