"The resale value says all that has to be said. Efficient market theory and all that." Nope. Overall cost of ownership is the most important thing. It all comes down to the total cash outlay. Higher resale value doesn't mean squat if you paid $10k more up front & only get for $2.5k more when you sell it (all other things being equal of course). And if you paid more for, parts, repairs, & fuel all along the way..... I rest my case your honor. Perception is reality..... regardless of the facts....
