Its incredible how low profile ORCL has become since Henley became CEO. I like the way they are going about doing business these days.

Personally, I think their 10g database is a big thing and should deliver multi year growth. After their is a major consolidation in the database market I expect apps to become a driving force for growth. So, looking out into the future I see 5-10 years of steady internal growth.

On top of that, management has made a commitment to grow externally (i.e., G.E.) which if done correctly, could make the company a conglomerate within IT.

Interesting times to be a ORCL shardholder.

Very interesting. This matches my intuition, but it's nice to see some quantitative information.

PSFT's latest results appear to support ORCL's contention that the company isn't going to do that well on its own. If I were a PSFT shareholder I'd be biting my nails hoping that the offer went through.
