CHuck Hagel ( R-Neb) was recently talking about it. Some Democrats, like Biden, were also talking about it.

They are talking about some kind of compulsory service for everyone meaning that many types of service would be available. I can only imagine how unpopular it would be to join the military. Especially during a foreign war like Iraq.

If we were attacked then I would defend our nation in the hills around Ca..........I would be leading the pack. But I do not believe in offering our children up for sacrifice in an area like Iraq.

The Republicans like to think that Reagan bankrupted the Soviet Union with the arms race and caused them to implode economically. Perhaps Bin Ladin is attempting to do the same thing to us and Bush is playing straight into his plan.
