Yep, I'm not at all surprised, Dizzy. You might want to check out the FAS Project on Government Secrecy. They maintain an email broadcast called 'Secrecy News'. Also link to a number of resources (Federation of American Scientists, Congressional Research Service, FOIA results, etc.) that illuminate much in this area. fas.org (One of the more interesting intellectual exercises I ever had, was a paper I wrote on the topic of 'the most efficient method of destroying the nation by military means'. Conclusion was that 8 to 10 air-bursts of relatively low megatonage would be more then ample --- if they were strategically placed over particular nuclear power plants... adding a massive 'Chernobyl effect' to the initial effects of the air-bursts.)
