The sad thing is that most people on both sides really want peace and a good job. (How shocking is that???) It's the leaders on both sides, and we see the representative intransigence on this thread on both sides, that prevents someone from going first. It's a debating point here. In Israel, it's living under the threat of a weekly or monthly 9/11 (in terms of population) that takes it out of being a nice, or not so nice, debate. That's understandable. How many New Yorkers would jump for joy at the prospect of negotiating with OBL after 9/11?
