I think that you are wrong. And I also believe that it is necessary and possible to have Muslim troops on the ground too.

It can't happen with the Bush attitude of "You're either with us or against us". And by keeping other countries out of the rebuilding of Iraq.

You want people to participate? You have to let them participate.

The Germans in particular have an extra burden right now which is the rebuilding of East Germany. They are smart not to tax themselves beyond their means. Their economy is fragile and they have high unemployment in East German cities..............some as high as 30%. They are all suffering but they believe that it is better for the world that they take care of East Germany and rebuild it so they do it...............and you ridicule them for failing to follow Bush into an ill conceived and poorly managed war in Iraq?

They are also smart.

Kofi Annan invited Bush to come to the UN after the US completed the "major military operations" to discuss how the UN might play a role in the peace process.

Bush rebuffed him.

That was another mistake in a long string of mistakes by this administration.
