1) 75% is fine. (I believe, the way it's playing out so far, that Kerry could legitimately finish 3rd to Nader, and that the popular landslide for Bush could break LBJ's 1964 record. That would leave Wilt Chamberlain's 100 points in an NBA game-set only 2 1/2 years prior to LBJ's record-as the last amazing statistical relic of that era. Maris is gone, LBJ will be gone. That leaves only Wilt. He'd have liked that.)

2) It is a tragedy for America that the Democratic party is ensuring its destruction. Not only is it the longest continuously-existing political party in Western history, its existence-back when it was a LOYAL opposition-created a political stability that made America a superpower-at the exact right time in history, as things turned out.

The Democrat party will have to be replaced. The pseudo-populists cannot possibly do that, nor can the libertarians. Americans-despite the bad image they have been given by the media-DETEST institutionalized ignorance. The Democrat party's sell-out to the anti-American Leninist left 30+ years ago was a tragedy for the entire country. It was only a question of time before they would render their abandonment of America transparent to enough of the public to guarantee their destruction. I did not expect it for several more election cycles. The 2000 vote fabrication, the Senate impeachment fix, the Clinton/Rubin deflationary recession, all had compounding effects against their foundation, but those were nothing that wouldn't take 10 years to finally sink in with the casual "middle" voter.

Then 91101 came along, and the Dems just couldn't help becoming such committed traitors that it is no longer hidden from anyone, no matter how formerly-apathetic. The Democrats have managed to mobilize millions of voters for 2004-as their propaganda always said was their intent. Unfortunately for them, those millions are, almost to the last person, now mobilized AGAINST the Democrat party...
