Its apparent to me that is the big reason that France and the UN dragged their feet on enforcing the inspections. France had huge oil interests in Iraq and you KNOW that Saddam was selling his oil for peanuts to whoever would buy it. Now, Kerry wants to place control of the place in the hands of the UN who I doubt has any reasons to want to take charge.

I'm for Kerry all the way but Bush is liable to turn the tables on him if payoffs are rife in the UN members.

Truth is, what NATO country is willing to police the nation of Iraq? We are the only ones, it seems, that have a taste for using our soldiers as gun fodder.

Viet-Nam all over- wait and see.

James

Raymond, as an aside, I'm pleased you posted the xymphora piece at the Mastermind site.

Now we'll be able to hear from the Chairman, himself, whether the opinion expressed is acceptable in terms of "approved" conspiracy theory or else is considered too "revisionist" and therefore trash.

BTW, I really enjoy Gustav's contributions especially the way he pulls the chains of certain people. I think he's very bright, is an incredibly free thinker and has a terrific sense of humor. I wonder what he'll do if, one day, you took him seriously? I know the Chairman couldn't.
