Just observations from Asia:
On Natural Resources, a general headsup, in China, the small but never-the-less indicative commodity futures all tanking over the past few days, and may indicate that the govt breaking of economy is starting to work.

There seem to be the start of "let's sell for cash" amongst the domestic Chinese power plant owners even as international players appearing to be eager to invest. Not a good sign in my experience.

Third item, lots of ships clogging harbours from Goa (India) to Dalian (China), and incurring charges (USD 20k per day waiting), and lots of buyers and/or sellers and/or middlemen getting stuffed. The economic effect should be noticeable soon.

Whatever is happening, it is all fairly unusual. FWIW.

isopatch,
I might add to my previous comment that I find this chart rather disconcerting:

Best,

Hi Iso,
I don't know if you have to commit to keeping up pre market posting as that might take away some of the fun out of it for you, making it like a job, but I'm always interested in your market opinion, that's one reason I read NR now...

ISO, I think your assessment of the day's most important overnight or morning news affecting one or more investment sectors will be of value to those screening the thread. It will be of relatively less value to me for trading purposes because, of the investment capital available to me, approximately 85% is in my retirement plan and is limited to mutual funds where action can only be taken at the end of the day. Still, I do value the information and appreciate you making your insights public where others can benefit.
