O'Neill lied to CNN saying he wasn't with the Bush-Cheney campaign. That is a deliberate lie. He is a long-time political operative and devoted member of the rightwing Texas Republican establishment all the way back to Chuck Colson, one of the fathers of political dirty tricks. On the Watergate tapes, Nixon orders Colson to "destroy" young John Kerry and he tells Nixon not to worry, he will.

O'Neill is no better than Ted Sampley of the Vets against Kerry (who does not really represent vets at all) who is a liar, con artist and as McCain says "a fraud, and the mopst despicable person" he has ever met.

These people are really political criminals. They break the unwritten rules of ethics and honesty and thereby denigrate our very democracy.
