Typical whitewash by the LAT. If it were Bush in the VVAW rather than Kerry, the tone of the entire story would have been cast in a dark light. Every single piece of negative information would have been highlighted. Any positive actions would have been ignored or downplayed. Bush would have been portrayed as coldly calculating how to jump start his political career in deciding to join the Anti-war crowd. His decision to fly Anti-war activists around while still in the service would have been seriously questioned. The assassination plot with Bush (Kerry) in attendance, his adamant & repeated denials of being in present, his lies about when he left the VVAW & Bush's decision to not go to the authorities about the plot, would have been given extended coverage in an extremely negative light. And this story would be reported extensively in the NYT, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc., even if the evidence was flimsy at best. Instead, only the LAT covers it this story painting Kerry as positively as it can with critical damning facts left out or dramatically nuanced. IMO, it's going to take more than a smoking gun to get the real story out there for most Americans to learn what actually happened because of liberal media bias & the hate Bush crowd. The evidence seems to place Kerry at the meetings discussing the assassination plot against US Senators. And this was a plot so well thought out that it had a name (The Phoenix Project). His adamant denials & his lack of taking any action to alert authorities back then seriously call into question whether Kerry has the appropriate credentials to be President.
