O'Neill lied about Kerry calling him "no hero". Kerry has never lied about such things and would never. He has full respect for veterans and heros of all ilks. It's only the far right wing smear tacticians like O'Neill who lie and try to deceive voters, abusing their medals as poilitical cover. Kerry is obviously a hero. He is credited with 20+ kills of enemy and several lives saved, including the Green Beret he pulled out of the water under heavy enemy fire. The Green Beret, a lifelong Republican, has come to Kerry's defense against these odious charges form the extreme right.
