Santiago - I agree with much of your post.

Jews do not hate Christianity. I know very few who do. They might hate the bigotry that has been put forth in the name of Christianity. You probably know that Hitler, although not religious, used religion as a "justification" of his final solution.

Let me emphasize to you, "Jews do NOT hate Christianity."

Jews merely have a different belief system. Hindus are also a human-loving people and they do not believe as you do.

As for Israel, most Israelis would love to be just left alone, in peace, without the necessity of US finances, etc. In fact, the US has stopped Israel from fighting and winning its current wars. It chastised Israel when Israel destroyed Saddam's nuclear capability in 1988. Now the US is thankful that there are no nuclear WMD largely because of Israel's actions.

Israel would have likely been more aggresive in fighting the tyrants and terrorists of the mideast if it weren't for US pressure. I'm not judging here, just stating my opinion of what the reality is. It would not be good for anyone, but probably what would happen if the US did not stop Israel from counter attacking every time it is attacked by terrorists.

Back to religion. My beliefs let me talk and learn from others, including my many Christian friends. I go to many services in many denominations, Catholic and Protestant. I enjoy discussing religion with my friends and learning. My own religion is really less rictual and more spiritual. I do believe in a deity, but don't pretend to know exactly what he or she or it wishes to be called. I'm open to learning from others.

I do not hate Christians or Christianity.

I do hate bigotry as I've discussed above.

James, As I recall it, there were no such people calling themselves Palestinians when the Jew first entered the promised land. The bible says that God demanded that the Hebrew tribes take over the land that became to be known as Palestine, later.

While the Jews were in exile, that land was infiltrated by arab people, who let the area rot into a desert like landscape. When the Jews returned to the area, after WW2, they took that desert, and made it bloom with crops, trees, and flowers. Since they are much better stewards of the land, they have every right to be there. Those that call themselves the Palestinians, were misfits, and malcontents, that were sent there from Syria, and other arab nations, that didn't want to deal with them. It is those Palestinians that are the interlopers.

The "innocent" people that are being killed, are the Jewish citizens of Israel, and they have the right to counter attack to prevent more of their women, and children, being killed by fanatical terrorists.
