Well I guess if Bush is going to play soldier/airman on TV and on the taxpayers bill, and he thinks it's going to get him some mileage with voters (...even had the mission accomplished sign put up on the ships tower behind him...who paid for that?) then maybe voters should know that Kerry was in the Navy and actually served in combat.

It's political tit for tat. Kerry does it because Bush is doing it. In the case of Bush that message has been playing pretty well for him. In fact it's the only issue that Bush does well on in polls...you know the commander in chief thing. But as time goes on, I think that people will start to see Kerry for what he really is, strong on defense and strong on using the military and diplomacy smartly.

54% of Americans think Bush is on the wrong track per as recent poll. CNN just did a study on polls and concluded that if we are going to pay attention to any polls, the "are we on the right track?" polls are the ones to look at. CNN also pointed out that at this stage, incumbants Carter and Bush Sr. were well ahead of the challengers. Both lost.

What really counts in the end is the question "are you better off than 4 years ago?" Since very few people are, people will want change. And what better change than a very honest president who has already proven himself a real hero, has never lied or failed us and has solid, concise, fair and common sense solutions for our major problems?
