No one ever said the French would just jump right in. I never said that, nor has Kerry that I'm aware of. We're only sticking to the facts. I'm not a fortune teller.

But the facts are clear:

1. Bush pissed off the French and the Germans by being quick on the trigger. His diplomacy failed.

2. Bush has not tried to further a discussion with the French or the Germans. I believe that he won't.

3. Kerry has made a campaign process to begin the conversation with the rest of the world, and show them why it's in their best interests to get involved in Iraq.

4. Bush rebuffed Kofi Annan when he invited Bush to come to the UN.

5. Bush restricted the rebuilding contracts from most nations.

So as you can see the facts show Bush as a divider, and Kerry promising to work hard at being a Uniter. No one can know what the French or Germans will do. But we are certain that Bush will not make any overtures, and he's rebuffed all chances to do so.
