Police and intelligence agents have raided suspected terror cells from Amman to Stockholm in a global sweep to thwart al-Qaida and other attacks on major targets

So Bush has finally started to agree with Kerry that fighting terrorism is not "primarily" a military exercise. Instead it is primarily a "police and intelligence effort" with the military providing the needed backup

How can Bush defeat terrorists when he creates more than he destroys? Also how can he best defeat them when he arrogantly fractures our traditional allies making it harder for us to share intelligtence and law enforcement cases with them? The military in Iraq has very little (if anything) to do with terrorism except that it's giving terrorist recruiters a big boost and is draining our ability to respond anywhere else in the world. It's also giving terrorists a nice easy target against our troops and the civilian contractors. It's in short a big mess based on awful planning and dishonest motives.
