Must be getting old, but ode for the good old days when someone could be a boy scout and not be afraid of pack leaders, buy girl scout cookies and not worry about either calories or their politics, and go to church and not worry about letting your kid be an altar boy.

I can understand some of the paranoia but I hate painting everyone with a broad brush. Maybe the "don't ask, don't tell" isn't so stupid with respect to employment issues, particularly when one is dealing with minors and I am speaking of both heterosexuals and homosexuals.

It's not an easy issue. How about some religious nut who believes that it's ok to express hatred about others, just because they worship the deity in a different manner from others. Personally, I'd be a little hesitant having that person as a scout leader, particularly if he expresses those views to the kids.
