I agree with you Chinu. However, I have seen Kerry being critical of the war. I'd like to see him end the criticism with what he would do differently and I mean be specific. Don't just say "I'd get the UN involved." I think his cricisms of lack of armor, etc., are right on the money. I can't understand sending troops in without proper equipment or medical care.

I'd like to see the UN or Nato or other nations come in. I suspect that very few will come in and sacrifice men or money. That's the reality and what I call a charade.

How do you think European troops would fare after a few RPG attacks? There would be calls for them to come back home rather than fight for the UN. As for money, we've seen that the desire to participate in contracts is there, but the desire to donate and reduce debt owed by Saddam is not.

So being a realist, I think it's the US or nothing. It's a phoney coalition in there now and that wouldn't change with the UN or international community nominally in charge.

Maybe with a new President with less macho jingoism, maybe the Euros will get more involved, but I doubt it. We clearly could have been more patient and, at least called their bluff.
