I think your Noland synopsis is almost word for word my view of where we are. I do think they (primarily the symbiotic trio of Japan, US and China), will try and reign in the big maladjustments caused by too much liquidity,and stimulus. But it will be ad hoc, uncoordinated, patch work and ineffective, like a sputtering airplane engine:fraught with danger.
