Hi alydar,

I'm very far from that world, but I perceive it to be:

Buying an army of experienced closers that can attack the midsized businesses.

Regardless of the software - to train a salesforce that can press the fleshh of midsized companies and lock in their utilization is the key.

I've trained a sales force before - it is a long term intense situation - Oracle could well pay a premium for Craigise animals - redirect them to Oracles RAC 10G and do very well.

I think Larry's goal is to land the mid size companies and let Bill Gates have the individuals.

His plan makes a lot of sense to me,

To focus on continuing the advancement of the best at the cheapest price allows him great attraction to the midsize firms - while Peoplesoft's owner base gets discounted deals to migrate to Orcl's better software - somewhere in all that is economies of scale that is very profitable.

It is a great long term plan and it will prevail.

By the most realize it, we'll be up a 100 % from the sideways consolidation that built up in the indecision.

JMHO
