Islam is a complex religion and I don't understand all of it. However, i do have close friends that are Moslems and they are geat people who do not strive to kill me! ( gg)
It is only a small fraction of Arabs that hated us before we started attacking their countries. Now we have made more enemies.

Iraq is an Islamic country and the majority of people there are Moslems. A democracy there will likely look like a theocracy. The Kurds in the North are fundamentalists much like the Taliban but not as strict. The Shias have Ayotollahs who are their supreme leaders and have power over their people. These leaders may be chosen as the democratic heads of Iraq. How in heck are we going to go in there and undo thousands of years of culture in a a few months by blowing up a bunch of the country...........we aren't............it's just that simple...........we won;t be able to change them for generations............maybe never.

I have a Jordanian friend who went to medical school in Baghdad while Saddam was in power. She lives here now cause she married a Palestinian whose family moved here. She wears her veil over her head by choice inspite of living here in the US. Her husband left the choice up to her and she wishes to continue in her customs............she chooses to allow her husband to talk for her sometimes...her choice. These people are proud of their culture and don't want to be 100% westernized.

THe people of Iraq have been liberated. Why are they still fighting? They want us out to build their own country. We can't allow them to choose...........why? Because we know better for them what they need??????????

We are being lied to. Bush keeps changing the reasons for going into Iraq until he finds something that people will believe..............Can you truly believe a man that sends boys off to die based on reasons that are all lies?

Yes there is much oil in the Middle East and that region is volatile so why aren't we trying to develop alternative fuel sources? There is actually huge oil reserves in the south of what used to be the Soviet Union.

We don't rely totally on the Middle East for oil. Actually I heard we get most from SOuth AMerica.
