Rice's 9-11 speech did not even mention terrorism. No top Bushie mentioned terrorism as a threat or priority prior to 9-11. Clarke and Tenet never stopped trying to warn them. We saw the 8-6 memo warning about Al Qaida wanting to attack inside the US with hijackings. Bushies ignores it and there is no way you can spin that except that they were AWOL on terror and obsessed only with SDI and Iraq. Since Rice had no expertise in terror and the Middle East, she was the wrogn choice to be NSA and sure enough failed us. Stating facts is not character assassination.
