There were no active terrorists in Iraq before we invaded, just a few retired ones. Saddam and Al Qaida were enemies as Saddam was secular and persecuted Islamic fundamentalists. He killed many Al Qaida types during his reign. Amazing to see Bushies pointing to those "mass graves" which were filled with radical Shiites, the same ones who'd be following Sadr against us now.

It is quite clear now that Cheney especially lied about and manipulated intelligence to present us with a false picture of Iraq. And people like you still repeat his lies. Shame on you.

Indeed, the greatest threat to the US was in invading Iraq unilaterally and trying to occupy it without UN and moderate Arab help. That was such a gross mistake we will not recover from it for many years.
