The statements about what the China & Japan central banks were thinking struck me a possilby excessive also.

His point about the silver run up on the "rumour" (may have been true or close to true at the time) and it's negative effect seems to be a realistic explanation.

That the Japan & Chian central banks may be buying or putting out feelers to buy is considerably easier to detect. Many people in the loop, especially if the quatities are larger. If just a few bars are being moved from one rack to another in a basement vault, that could be hidden.
