We better go somewhere or we are going to be completely dependent on VZ,the ARAB countries........As OPPOSED to this venture as I was I see it now as ONE alternative to this dependence. I really would like to see the energy initiatives of the 70's and 80's reinstituted....

Kerry led the fight to stop drilling in ANWAR.
He and McCain also led the fight to pass CAFE fuel efficiency standards which would have saved more oil than is in the entire state of Alaska. Bushie oil lobbyists killed it.
