It's been said that the reason the American Media conglomerate of supermarket tabloids (The National Enquirer, etc.) was attacked with anthrax was to shut down an investigation that American Media was about to break on some hanky-panky involving the Bushies in the aftermath of 9/11. Conveniently, the FBI went to their headquarters building in Florida and quarantined it (because of the anthrax, wink wink, nudge, nudge), removing all incriminating contents. Neat trick, huh?
