I would agree with you. However, there are apparently so many foreign fighters and clerics who have been armed by Iran that there needs to be some neutralizing factor, whether that be the US or an international organization.

I don't want a victory in the traditional sense. I want a victory where the Iraqis can decide if they want to be one nation or 3, where they want to kill each or not.

Given we are, that analogy is true, "you break it you own it." We have to fix it and do something and that's where I'm at. Let's go forward and do it. Let's get it to a point where the foreign fighters are out of there, where Iran has stopped the flow of fighters, and let them decide for themselves.
