Inevitably Iraq remains a mess and sinkhole for US taxpayer's money for years to come.

Never mind now, think of what will happen when the Iraqi's finally vote. The most likely winner will be the party that vows to throw the Americans out. After sinking a 1/4 to 1/2 trillion $$ into Iraq the Americans won't leave however.

The mess will continue and continue.

Certainly the Kurds won't.

There may be no choice but to divide the nation into 3, but who gets the oil?
