Cheney-Bush's big lying 10 million TV ad push this week is to try and fool people about war hero Kerry's 'weakness" on defense. This explains the old "throw my ribbons but not my medals" story Drudge sludged out, comparing Bush's AWOL status in 1972 to Kerry's angry war hero status.

Cheney then makes yet another bombastic, dishonest speech about how un-macho war hero Kerry is compared to he and Bush, the two draft-dodgers who delibersately avoided combat, and to list weaposns systems which Kerry "voted to cut" which Cheney, Bush Sr. and other top conservative Republican leaders also voted to cut.

Of course they won't tell you that besides the useless MX Missile system Kerry also voted FOR every one of those weapons systems including the biggest defense budgets ever. Kerry voted for the budget which equipped our current military and also yes indeed voted for the 87 billion (with a partial top 1% tax cut rollback to pay for it) but Bushies prefers to not make the rich pay anything, as usual, and have already sopent the 87 billion, into the black holes of Enron/Halliburton accounting, or lack thereof.

Gee, you don't think that has anything to do with the incessant posting by AS about Cheney-Bush every single time they are mentioned? Campaign startegy being applied here first. LOL. AS is so inside the camp...and he is being as honest about it as Kerry is about the medals...

Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) and the Democratic Party will open a week-long assault on Vice President Cheney today in hopes that tarring him as promoting secrecy and controversial policies will erode confidence in President Bush.

Cheney is less popular than Bush in polls, and Democratic strategists said they need to further inhibit the vice president's effectiveness as Bush's attack messenger.
