Where are Bush's medals of honor? And his record of service for his last year? Answer: Bush didn't receive any medals. There's no record of service the last year because Bush did not serve it.

I'm told that ribbons were used on casual uniforms to
represent the medals and that medals themselves were
used on dress uniforms.

I think Kerry protests too much here.
He pretended to throw over his own medals
and got caught in a lie.

Now he's accusing everyone else of heinous
conduct when the truth is he got caught in
a lie.

Why is that surprising?
He planned a run for the Presidency from
his youth.

Although his first foray into politics was
unsuccessful when he ran as a vet, (thereby prompting
him to morph into an anti-war standard bearer
to get the visibility necessary to launch
his political career), he knew that he'd want
to have his medals down the road.

Anyone who thinks he didn't deliberately
retain his own medals and pretend to throw
them is rather naive, IMO.

Kerry is Mr. Opportunist and a spin meister
deluxe. He puts the depends what you mean
by
is comment to shame.
