experience was unimportant for a President and that
Vietnam should be put behind us.

Karen, When someone becomes your President you had better be willing to dismiss their service record. You don't have to like it but we, as a nation, cannot strip a President of his or her ability to take the nation to war. What's going to happen when a Woman becomes President? They didn't have to sign up for the draft and most have no military service. Those things don't really matter after an event like 9/11 though. I was never in the military. I had to fill out a draft card but it was just a formality as there was no draft in 1984. The point being that if I were president (LOL) and had to make the tough call I believe the nation (and congress) would have already given me that power. Besides....Oral would be my VP <g>
