I am very liberal, and so am forced to be a democrat, if I want my vote to count (haha)- but they aren't really liberal or constructive enough for me- but the republicans don't even come close- plus they have all those planks in the party that are nods to the religious right, and I could never, ever, support that. I certainly consider myself a partisan, so I don't think there is anything wrong with being partisan- I just thought it was ironic that with the country getting more partisan, people would find it worthy to comment on how people are not changing their minds- of course they aren't- their minds ar made up, because the nation is fairly polarized. One needn't get heated up about it though, or take it out on other people, imo.

I wish we had more viable choices in this country. I'd love it if we had more active parties- but I don't see that happening, and if anything we seem to be solidifying into an even more hardcore split between the only two parties we do have. oh well
