is it possible that McCain is a greater opportunist than he is a devoted veteran...? no living veteran has served in captivity longer than Senator McCain and at great hardship and valor all the way, his record speaks for itself, he is a true war hero, a role model for courage and perseverAnce.

John Kerry and Jane Fonda worked vigorously to undermine the efforts of the American armed forces serving in Vietnam, It is documented...their efforts most likely added years unto the captivity of McCain and others.

At one time McCain showed only great disdain for Kerry...it is documented.

along the way and over the years McCain softened, he became a political animal, he prostituted the ideas and beliefs that allowed him to survive his captivity at the hands of the North Vietnamese.
IMO he caved to the realities of being a politician, he became an opportunist.
Now he is having second thoughts after receiving council and conjuring up memories of his and Kerrys past, I am sure he is haunted at the very least by his many fellow inmates, prisoners of his war years....

Kerry bad....McCain good...
