While Kerry was here protesting the war, I was over there in it. I never felt any animosity for anyone who was trying to bring a quick end to a senseless war. And neither did any of the soldiers I served with.

Kerry was asked to reconcile two explanations for why he didn't throw his own medals - Kerry told The Washington Post in 1985 it was because he didn't want to personally, and he told the Boston Globe in 1996 that he didn't have time to go home and get them.

His Silver Star is suspect. I still want to see the supporting documents for it. What I have read so far leads me to believe that he executed a cowering VC and should have been executed for this deed rather than given a medal.
