I'm recalling that on the day the WTC was attacked and destroyed, and all those firemen and police and rescuers killed, he was running from place to place trying to find shelter, instead of going to the scene and leading

According to the reports I heard, Bush had a long fight with the Secret Service, who had info (turned out to be bogus, but who knew), that there was an attack planned on Airforce One if it returned to Washington. So it took him much of the day to fly from Florida to Washington.

Ahem, so do you see the pres patrolling the streets of baghdad with the marines and infantry?

But we know who he is, and he isn't hiding in a cave.. For the most part, the world knows where the President is at every given moment of the day, via the media and that Flag flying over the White House.

All they have to do is try and get him..

The militant leadership of the militants is hiding.. They undestand that were their location known, they would be immediately hunted down and killed.

And the financiers of the militants, those who send them money and logistical support, remain in the shadows..

As for Bush, one way or the other, he'll be out of office within 5 years. But Bin Laden and the others hope to live out their entire lives dominating the people of the muslim world.

But let's just get down to brass tacks here.. The President of the United States is an elected representative, accountable to the electorate.

Now who the hell elected Bin Laden, or any of the other Islamist militants hoping to dicate the political, economic, and religious future for hundreds of millions of people??

going to the scene and leading. Like for instance, mayor Juliani.

With all respect to the Mayor, this may not be a good example. Giuliani was great after the 9/11 disaster, that's true - but we need leadership - and strategies - which would be able to prevent such events.

Why won't the new Hammas leader come out into the open?
