It wasn't too hot today, altho they were talking record temperatures. It clouded up a bit in the afternoon.

Yes, the rain really increases north of the gate. SF and the Peninsula get about 20 inches. 2 hours north, at Ukiah, it's 40 inches. Another 45 miles, and it is 75 inches; then, if you head toward the coast...

The tomatoes are hanging in. I came close to losing them twice; once,I worked early, and didn't cover them up.
I raced home and got them covered with about 15 minutes to spare. A week later, I came out of the hospital, and there was ice on the roof of my car. Forget it. No mad dash. They are toast (or ice cream). Got to Willits, and it was 38 degrees. Somebody up there likes me.
