Of the three in the series start with the 1st, "Ringworld".

You won't be disappointed in the story and you might be surprised at the comparison.

I always thought of myself as Tarzan. And then when I was somewhere beyond 30 I found out that he was a myth

My dad always spoke fondly of falling in love and being enchanted by a story called "Green Mansions"
...seemed just one of those books that really swept him away when he was a young man .

Insights into the "old man"...hehe. I'll have to get that book and read it some time , for it seemed to captivate him and bring out the best of his qualities early on some how...love of animals and general deep appreciation of Life and Love.

Some literature can transform us .

Think it was set in the tropical forest I think ...and there was this mystical girl...written in 1904
& my dad must have read it as a young man in the early 1930's :
