No.. I didn't bother to read the article.. But the very fact that of all that written in that article, that was the section who chose to post, seems to indicate your agreement... And just shooting the flag is equally unhelpful.. To claim that US troops are there only to rape, maim, and kill is a ridiculous logic.. But one which many in the logically illiterate and brain-washed muslim world has chosen to believe.. And they believe it, because their cultural pride prevents them from understanding that they are a product of an environment that they collectively permitted and perpetuated to take root. The real bottom line is that we have a battle between two "revolutionary" ideals that threaten the current power structure in the Arab world. And they are vying to influence and either exploit or empower the millions of youths soon to come of age in the region. One is radical Theo-Fascism, seeking to replace secular rule with religious domination and control, all in the name of Allah. To wage a spiritual war in a physical manner. To convert by the sword.. The other is to unleash the freedom and self-determinatory forces that created the United States. To spur those moderate people within the region to stick their heads up and feel secure enough to teach their children that it's alright to expect the government to be accountable to the people, rather than the other way around. And most importantly, to help them create a system where they actually have inalienable rights, rights bestowed upon them by their creator, and not just the next despot who comes to power. That's the revolution I think is worth fighting for Harvey... And it's not just flag-waving.. Because the two systems are mutually incompatible. Hawk
