Funny - your posts on Dukakis and Bush, Sr. Having grown up in Mass., Dukakis was probably the politician I most admired after RFK. By the time the election came, I was rooting against him. He really is to this day an honorable, decent, brilliant, kind and compassionate person. Says something, doesn't it. Actually, says a lot.

By the time of the election, I had taken off my Dukakis colored glasses and felt that the Bush, Sr., as he was portrayed, was truly qualified to be President. Of course, at that time, I had never read about the Saud connections.

I liked Mondale. I think that's the last person I can remember being enthusiastic about.
