Sourwood honey yes, but the best is Locust and the most difficult to get and is my favorite. No Indians left.. Cherokee is Southwest of Boone.. Still lots of unspoiled country,mountains and green but the acid rain is ruining the tops of the higher mountains. Tennessee border is very nearby. Roan Mountain has been denuded at the top where all the trees look dead.. If you like fly fishing, catch and release, come on up and do it in Boone Fork River... flows from Price Lake in the National forest. Pristine. Isn't it nice to talk about life in the slow lane and away from the terrible things that are happening in the political world and Iraq...and some other unfortunate countries. Carry on... I learn a lot.
