No the mainstream is not liberal. If the mainstream media were "liberal" they never would have fallen for the rightwing witchhunt called Whitewater and the search through Clinton's dirty laundry. The "liberal media" charge is a myth put out by the rightwing and used to fuirther dominate. For instance, in "liberal" New York City, you have the WSJ (overtly Republican) and the Post (overtly Republican) and then the Times (Democrat leaning), and that's in the most liberal of cities.

In LA, we have nothing but rightwingers on the radio.
Fox News is now the #1 news station is is overtly Repubublican. ABC has Limbaugh, Hannity and just cooperated with that silly medals story from Drudge. NBC is owned by General Electric (conservative) so only CBS would be called liberal. CNN is more global.
