Do you believe all the gossip about Eisenhower & Geo Bush Sr as well? If so, your beliefs are even-handed--not influenced by personal cultural bias. I never believed the Clinton White Water charges either. Political enemies will use anything to tarnish their opponents. The right wing tries to cast all former Dem politicians in negative light. Evidently the belief is that the tarnishing will help win future elections. I don't believe the Kennedy/Eisenhower/FDR or Bush Sr sex scandal books that were released. Some writers will say anything in order to market their books. Strident partisans on both sides tend to believe everything negative about the other side. Usually the rumors are false & merely started to gain votes. In the past, the right were the masters at campaign rumors but the left has learned to counteract with their own whispers. They cancel each other out in recent times.
