By your past posts, I didn't think you were really serious. Problem is there are so many extreme posts on this Moderate Forum, blaming Israel for Iraq, etc., that I was probably a bit intemperate in tone. Sorry about that.

Israel is very happy w/o Saddam, but they were only incidental beneficiaries, compared to Jordan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, the Kurds, etc., etc.

My issue is with the extremists that make a lobby that can be attacked equally by both sides. I've seen extremists on both sides attack the media as being Jewish controlled. Too liberal to support Bush and too Israeli oriented not to support Bush.

But, I don't think the war was fought for Israel. They can fight their own battles and would have attacked Iraq if they thought they were an imminent threat.

The same lobbyists who brought us the Iraq war initially presented their plan to Israel's Prime Minister. He said he couldn't do it. Then they took the plan to the U.S.
